This will probably earn negative props, but it's the truth: substance abuse.
Everyone needs to stop thinking about it like he has a choice, or like it's a sprained kneee. It's a substance problem and he needs to clean up. Props for dealing with it.
To all the pinkbike kiddies that don't understand, or blame work ethic or whatever, just cut the dude some some slack and let him straighten out his life. Even if you can't understand how people get into this situation, some people eventually end up there. Again just cut him some slack. This isn't like bouncing back from a injury.
I find pads in this style don't offer protection in a big 'off'. Why not keep the knee cup on the knee and let the shin protection slide up? That might be an innovation. I'm more interested in protecting my knees in a fall than my shins.
If you look at that picture with the knee bent, I'd say the knee is still pretty exposed. How is it that there are so many companies that still basically copy the 1999 Roach pads even though they don't work? We need some actual riders in some of these companies. About Us
